Exterior house painting saga

Our one big project this summer that we had to complete this year or the house will disintegrate {or so my husband made it feel} was painting the exterior of our house. I will admit that the house was due and a fresh paint job […]

Happy Birthday America!

Everyone loves a really late post….riiiiight?! I completely failed to post prior to, or near, the 4th of July! {Hey, at least it still is July!} The 4th of July is my husbands favorite holiday and is definitely one of mine as well. There is […]

Family Reunion Adventures

This summer has been AWESOME in Washington state! The weather has been really great and we have been trying to jam-pack the fun in while we have free time aside from working. Not the easiest task!

I went to my annual family reunion this past weekend, which is held at a public park on a lake. It was a lot of fun and Madi was ready to explore the whole area.

I didn’t get to visit as much as I would have liked because I was chasing a toddler around, but it was so fun seeing her explore {and realizing she is the kind of kid that will just go – and looks back sparingly}.

She had a blast wandering through the trails down to the beach. Watching the ducks and dogs play in the water, and touching every plant there {reminding me I need to look up poisonous plants}.
As an added bonus, my cousin of Northwest Skater came from Utah and gave my nephew and neice a little “skate schooling”. Madi was loving the board too! I better invest in helmets and knee pads.

These are the days that life is all about – family, adventure and fun!
